Age Verification Policy

Last updated 16 June 2026

VRTubbies is an adult site. All visitors must be at least 18 years old (or the local age of majority, whichever is higher). This page documents how we apply that requirement and how the site behaves under the major age-verification regulations now in force.

Layered approach

  1. RTA-5042 meta tag on every page — picked up automatically by browser parental controls and content-filtering software (Net Nanny, Cyber Patrol, Apple Screen Time, Microsoft Family Safety).
  2. Active 18+ interstitial modal on first visit each session — requires an explicit confirmation click before any catalogue page is rendered. The confirmation is stored as a first-party cookie (30-day TTL) so returning visitors are not re-prompted within the same session.
  3. Robots meta permits indexing but flags the site as adult so search engines surface it only on adult-intent queries.

United States — state-specific notes

Several US states have enacted age-verification laws targeting adult sites. Where access from those jurisdictions raises a credible compliance question, we may serve a more rigorous interstitial or block access entirely until a compliant verification path is available. Affected jurisdictions currently include but are not limited to:

Where we cannot offer a compliant verification path consistent with our user-privacy commitments, we will geofence the affected state rather than collect government-issued ID. The statutory backdrop is in flux and several of these laws are under constitutional challenge; this list will be revised as cases resolve.

European Union and United Kingdom

Under the EU's Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) and the UK Online Safety Act 2023, online services making pornographic material available must use age-assurance measures that are “effective” — not merely a self-declaration tickbox. Our active interstitial is a baseline measure; depending on traffic thresholds and the final shape of Ofcom and EU Commission guidance, we may add a third-party age-assurance provider integration for European traffic. We will publish such an integration here before it is enabled.

Parents and guardians

If you are responsible for a minor who you believe has accessed this site, the following parental-control tools recognise the RTA label automatically and will block this site at the network or device level:
